New Funding For Innovation in U.S. Fisheries

National Fish and Wildlife Foundation LOGOThe National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) today announced the fourth round of grants awards from its Fisheries Innovation Fund, a program launched in 2010 with funding from NOAA Fisheries, the Walton Family Foundation, and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to support sustainable fisheries in the U.S.

The 2014 grant awards support innovative techniques and solutions from fishermen, fisheries managers, nonprofit organizations, and others aimed at improving fisheries management and supporting fishing communities across the country.  This year, 12 projects are receiving $1.23 million and will be matched by over $1.39 million from the grantees.
